Effects Of Marijuana On Human Motivation, Less Willing To Work

In the latest study, scientists found the effects of marijuana (Cannabis Sativa) made people lazy to work to earn money. It was similar to social work without thought of reward to be gained, work on their own volition. The research published in the journal Psychopharmacology, where the test results show the short-term effects of cannabis on human motivation.

The study of marijuana effects examines the people who addicted marijuana where their motivation levels not differ from non-canabis participants. The scientists compared people who depend on cannabis with the same control. While they didn't use marijuana and the results found no difference in motivation. According to Dr. Will Lawn of UCL Clinical Psychopharmacology, marijuana generally considered to reduce the motivation. But this is the first time used the appropriate sample size and methodology.

About 57 participants in this study separated into two groups, among 17 participants using marijuana occasionally. They inhale marijuana smoke without tools, and placebo on separate occasions. They immediately complete tasks designed to measure motivation in order to get money. Long-term smoking marijuana may have a motivation problem, even when they are not experiencing the effects of marijuana. These findings suggest that long-term marijuana use may not lead to a problem of motivation if you stop using it and change to Salvia as alternatives to Marijuana and Tobacco.

In any given task, participants can choose whether they can complete the task easy or hard to get some money. The test results explained, the people who under the effects of marijuana significantly more likely to choose the hard option. The average of these participants who are under the influence of marijuana were choose hard option to get some money.

In the second study involving 20 people addicted to marijuana mixed with 20 participants with non-cannabis addicted. The participant not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs than tobacco or coffee and done for 12 hours prior to the study. They asked to perform the same task as the participants in the first study. The results explained, the participants in effects of marijuana not motivated than the non-canabis participants. They will work without thinking the final value, reward, or the money to be earn.
